Blue Mountains Tourism organises a monthly industry networking event on the first Tuesday of each month.

Our next industry networking event is on Tuesday 1 Sept 5.30pm-7.30pm.

With Western Sydney International Airport opening on 25 October, our next BMT industry event couldn’t be more timely. We’re delighted to welcome two special guest speakers from the Western Sydney International Airport Community Aviation Consultation Group (CACG):

Professor Peter Shergold AC

Independent Chair, WSI Community Aviation Consultation Group

Professor Shergold brings extensive experience across public administration, academia, governance and Western Sydney, including 12 years as Chancellor of Western Sydney University.

The Hon. Paul Lucas

Deputy Chair, WSI Community Aviation Consultation Group

Former Queensland Deputy Premier Paul Lucas brings more than two decades of senior experience across government, transport, infrastructure and public policy and is also an Airservices Australia Board Member.

The CACG brings together community, industry, airline and government representatives to provide an ongoing forum for discussion around airport operations, planning and issues affecting surrounding communities.

For the Blue Mountains visitor economy, this will be a valuable opportunity to hear directly from CACG leadership about Western Sydney International Airport and what Sydney’s new international gateway could mean for our region.
